From the outside, the 16th century Iglesia de Santiago looks quite massive and globby. It lacks any charm.
A monumental baroque relief rises on the front facade. It shows James with a sword as a Moorish slayer.
The interior of the church is an architectural masterpiece of the Renaissance. The relief panels on the main reredos depict scenes from the legends of St. James.
In front of the church is the Pilgrim's Fountain (Fuente del Peregrino) with coat of arms and inscription from 1675.
