descent from Aubrac

The descent from the plateau begins in Aubrac. Today, the descent is almost 1000 m. In the morning it is still quite fresh and the windbreaker is urgently needed. But that will change soon.

Saint-Chely-d'Aubrac

Here in the first bigger town, in Saint-Chely-d'Aubrac we are already 500m lower and it is already quite hot.

Bridge from the 16. century in Saint-Chely-d'Aubrac Gerhard on the bridge

I am happy about an old bridge. This one dates back to the 16th century.

On the ascent after the bridge on the other side of the valley, this overall picture of Saint-Chely-d'Aubrac presents itself.

Saint-Côme-d'Olt, Convent de Malet

We received an extremely warm welcome, felt very, very comfortable and enjoyed the clean rooms with excellent beds.

For pilgrims there was a menu in the monastery canteen. There we met many of the pilgrims we had met along the way.

loundry

We used the washing machine in the monastery for the much needed cleaning of our clothes.
